The Humanities and Sciences Academy
provides a rigorous academic program
in language arts, literature, social studies, mathematics, natural sciences
and
world languages. Students will experience instruction through shared
inquiry, cooperative learning and technology with certified instructors.
The
Academy provides a supportive environment in which a student can earn
his or
her high school diploma through distance education. Delivery of instruction
is achieved through personal interaction via the telephone, email, the
Internet, written communication and mail.
The course of study for each student will be designed to
meet the entrance requirements of the occupational program, college, or
university of the student’s choice. The curriculum integrates state
academic content and learning standards.
Equity:
The Humanities and Sciences Academy admits students of any
race, gender,
color, national and ethnic origin to all rights, privileges, programs, and
activities
generally accorded or made available to students at the school. It does
not
discriminate on the basis of race, gender, color, national and ethnic origin,
disability, or limited English proficiency in administration of its educational
policies, admission policies, and other school administered programs.
